MyPlatform: A decade of focused innovation

It was the autumn of 2017 when Søren and Jan met with Leif, then at Microsoft EMEA. Their mission was clear! Chart the future of their new consulting venture. Faced with countless possibilities, they landed on a decisive path — specialization. Adding Thomas to the team gave senior developing strength.

Instead of trying to do everything, they chose to focus sharply on the Azure public cloud, building deep expertise within governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). This wasn't a random choice. Their background in work with highly regulated industries had shown them time and again, that GRC was often the make-or-break factor for companies looking to leverage cloud technology. Together with the public sector's growing interest in the cloud, it became even clearer: GRC was either a huge advantage or a significant barrier.

Striking the Right Balance

While many in the industry were busy highlighting the technical and business benefits of the cloud, our team dug into the specific, often complex, demands of regulated environments. They understood the critical need for clear separation of duties, precise delegation of roles and responsibilities, together with stringent security. Azure's vast and intricate service offerings only amplified the challenge of creating a balanced governance framework — one that was strict enough for auditors yet flexible enough for practical business solutions.

For the past eight years, we've dedicated ourselves to mastering this delicate balance between GRC requirements and real-world business needs. It hasn't been simple, as the regulatory landscape constantly shifts with new policies, international legislation like SCHREMS and NIS, with an ever-evolving cybersecurity threat.

From day one, every project was built on the principle of "Everything as Code" — from infrastructure to security and compliance. We systematically developed the knowledge and tools needed to integrate every piece.

MyPlatform is the culmination of this methodical approach. The last twelve months in particular have been intense, like assembling a complex puzzle where each element gradually clicked into place. The final stage involved seamlessly connecting all these parts into a single, unified codebase.
